fdForge 2.13 and 2.14 Release Overview

fdForge 2.13 and 2.14 – Release Overview

The new releases of our low-code platform fdForge were aimed at optimizing workflows, expanding functionality, and improving the user experience. We have simplified the work with objects in entities, increased data security, added the display of interactions in the product, and created report templates. Here's a closer look at the changes we've made.

Accessibility of fields based on administrator roles

A key aspect of the 2.13 release is the ability to link fields to different user roles. The new feature allows you to flexibly customize and control access to information in accordance with your business needs.

Now you can define which system sections, fields, and entity properties should be available for viewing or editing for each fdForge operator.

For example, access to the fields with the number of orders is essential for the sales manager role, but not for other ones. Restricting access to fields at the role level provides a division of responsibilities for company employees. This approach allows you to effectively control the use of confidential information and maintain a high level of data security.

Display of interactions in the product

The new functionality significantly reduces the time users will spend searching for information about interactions with a product. Now you only need to open the product page, go to the Interactions tab, and view all orders it was used in. This makes the navigation process more convenient and intuitive, improves the user experience, and can also be useful for analyzing the demand for a particular product.

Report templates

In the new release, we have added the feature of creating report templates and exporting data in a required and pre-configured format. This process has become more flexible and convenient, as you can now create reports with the necessary settings based on a saved template in just one click. Also, to simplify the work in the system, we have implemented a history of all generated reports.

Optimization of work with related entities

In the fdForge 2.14 release, we have optimized the work with related entities. Now, when working with one entity, you can edit and create related entities without having to interrupt the configuration process.

Let's take a look at the functionality on the example of adding a new user:

Previously, editing an interaction required several steps: the user would go to a specific section, add a new user, return to the interaction, and reload the page to open the drop-down list.

Now you just need to click “Add” in the Customers section, then you'll see a pop-up where you can immediately add the required user. After saving, it will automatically synchronize with the interaction. Thus, the new feature significantly speeds up the work with objects in entities, simplifies the process of editing and saving data.

So, this time, the main changes are focused on streamlining the work with entities, generating reports, and controlling access to fields at the role level.
